Terms of Service

These terms apply whenever you engage ARCODIC (a sole proprietor business, referred to here as "I" or "ARCODIC") to design, build, or otherwise work on a website or related service. By confirming a project with me, you agree to these terms.

Services

ARCODIC provides web design and development services, including landing pages, multi-page sites, and full-stack builds, as described on the pricing section of this site. Exact scope, deliverables, and turnaround are agreed per project before work begins.

Timelines

Turnaround times, including the 24-hour landing page sprint, are estimates that depend on an approved brief and prompt feedback from you. Delays in providing content, approvals, or access can push delivery dates.

Payment

Payment terms, including any deposit and final payment schedule, are agreed before work begins. Work may be paused if payment is overdue.

Revisions and scope changes

Each project includes a reasonable number of revisions within the agreed scope. Requests that go beyond that scope, such as new pages, features, or a change in direction, may be quoted and billed separately.

Intellectual property

Once a project is paid in full, you own the final deliverables built for you. I may showcase completed work in my portfolio and on social media unless you ask me not to.

Third-party services

Projects may rely on third-party tools, such as hosting providers, domain registrars, or plugins. Those services carry their own terms and fees, which are separate from mine.

Liability

I build every project carefully, but I can't guarantee specific business outcomes, such as traffic, bookings, or sales. Sites are delivered as agreed in scope, and my liability for any claim is limited to the amount you've paid me for the project in question.

Termination

Either of us can end an engagement in writing. Work completed up to that point is billable, and any deposit already paid covers work already done.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page, with the "last updated" date revised accordingly. Terms agreed for an active project stay as they were when that project was confirmed.
